About the Event
We have once again been invited by our sponsor unit 1 Wing HQ to attend a flying day for local air cadet squadrons at Kingston Airport in their Chinook and Griffin aircraft. All cadets who want to fly MUST have signed up in advance so we know numbers for the day. Please review the information below.
ARRIVE NLT (no later than) 0900hrs. Cadets may arrive starting at 0830hrs. Drop off and pick up will be at Kingston Airport, 416 Wing RCAFAC (the parking lot with the yellow aircraft when you first pull in).
LUNCH IS PROVIDED. Cadets may also choose to bring money for snacks as 416 Wing, our other sponsoring unit, will have snacks and drinks available to purchase.
UNIFORM - FTUs (C5) or casual for those not yet in uniform.
END time may vary due to aircraft or aircrew issues. We expect to be finished at around 1400hrs - please keep an eye out for notices on the day. There is an airport open day (Wheels on the Runway) at the same time, so if we are dismissed early you may wish to attend that with your family. We cannot supervise or accompany you for this event - cadets must sign out with us before attending.
BRING your health card (or a copy), water bottle, sunglasses, a phone or camera if desired, and a small activity such as a book, cards, or device which can be used while waiting.
Please be respectful and attentive during the day - there will be many activities happening concurrently, and many members from both the public and our local sponsors. If there are any questions about this event, please email the squadron.
